Chris produced this third release for Rebel himself. He used members of The Night Drivers at the time, Dave Talbot on banjo and Irl Hees on bass, plus other great pickers like Mike Compton, Ron Stewart, Rob Ickes and Dan Tyminski.

This CD features Chris' duet with Tom T. Hall, The Man on the Side of the Road (the #4 song in bluegrass airplay for the whole year of 2001) Chris and Ron Block team up with Tyminski to redo the Chris' "Uphill Climb" (previously done by Chris and Ron as members of Weary Hearts. Tim O'Brien is a guest vocalist and fiddler on the haunting "Pretty Saro". Other originals are featured, including "Last Nail" and "Just a Town". With Sally Jones, Luke Bulla, David Sebring, Paul Kramer.
